9 Months Old

Austin's 9 Month Stats:

Height: 28.6 in; 75%

Weight: 18lbs 7 oz; 40%

Head Circumference: 18 1/2 in; 95%

Austin was given a clean bill of health at his 9 month checkup. He was cleared for most table foods and milk. He didn't have to get any shots this month but they did draw blood to test for anemia which came back clear. This month has flown by with lots of first. His new tricks include pulling up on furniture, climbing stairs (yikes), crawling on all fours although he still seems to prefer army crawling, and he has a top tooth coming in or as his Dad would call it a maxillary central incisor which will make his third tooth. Also, he can sit up from a crawl which encouraed us to drop his crib down. He is becoming such a big boy! Also, we have started baby proofing but everyday realize something else he can do and therefore something else we need to baby proof. He loves peek a boo, other kids and babies, glasses, crawling around, and screaming especially while we are eating dinner. We are already having to start telling him "no", Scary! which he seems to understand. He also recognizes his name. His favorite foods are any fruit, bananas, oranges, apples, blueberries and puffs but really seems to eat anything the only thing he has turned down so far is an avocado. CC and I are loving being his parents but he is keeping us on our toes to say the least.
